Eastbound lane on Carroll Creek Road to close for widening project

Johnson City Public Works will close the eastbound lane of Carroll Creek Road between North Roan Street and Bradford Lane beginning Tuesday, Jan. 16. The closure will impact traffic between 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The estimated completion date, weather dependent, is Wednesday, Jan. 31.

As a result of this construction activity, Carroll Creek Road will be widened to accommodate an extended turning lane.

Signage will be in place to direct motorists to an alternate route.

Drivers who cannot avoid the area should expect delays, use caution in the construction zone, and observe posted speed limits for their safety and the safety of workers.
