Parks and Recreation adds movies to Bert Street Concert Series
The lineup for the two remaining Bert Street Concert Series has changed. The events are held Fridays at the Memorial Park Community Center amphitheater, 510 Bert St.
The revised schedule is as follows:
- On Friday, Aug. 25 at 8 p.m., gather the family for an outdoor movie night featuring The Lorax. The movie begins at 8:30 p.m.
- On Friday, Sept. 1 at 6:30 p.m., enjoy a free concert featuring Florencia and the Feeling. Immediately following the music, a movie showing of Princess and the Frog will begin at 8:30 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs to relax on the amphitheater’s tiered seating area. The location provides easy access to free parking at Memorial Park Community Center. Attendees who park at the community center should make their way to the rear of the building near the pickleball courts. Parking is also available at the Municipal and Safety Building, 601 E. Main St.
The programming is free and open to all ages.
